News I just finished reading yet another captivating essay in regards to the upcoming web 3.0 technologies which have started to enter our networks all around. If you though that the whole wikipedia and facebook generation which is currently leading our habits and ways on a daily basis are the new thing, well you are wrong. As I am writing this, developers and scientists are polishing up and experimenting with the semantic web, an internet which is supposedly able to understand itself and understand the content and data it holds for a deeper, more interactive experience. Things are bound to be more personal and more interactive, and a lot more productive. I can’t wait to see what will happen a year down the road and wait patiently for the release of these first few websites.
You should definitely check out this essay about it though. Worth a read.

EsLive So the polls are now over with 20 votes on each of them. I’d like to thank everyone who participated in them. It enabled me to get a better idea as to what the demand is and how to better plan out this baseball softball gathering.
As of right now, I’m now in the process of trying to find a field while still looking for a few more players. If you know of a field which is easily accessible by public transportation, that is in or right around Boston, that can be reserved (preferably for free) and is in good condition, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
As always, more to come.

Yelp Boston Looks like the project is well under way. I have started to add people to the active roster of participating members and started an FAQ which is to be updated as I figure things out. So far I have received some very positive feedback both on the forum threads and in my inboxs.
I have also setup some very important poll questions over on this page which I encourage people to take part in. It will only take 20 seconds and will enable me to better supply people’s various needs and better adapt this project to the demand. The more feedback, the better it will be and the happier we will all be.
So far it looks like this might switch over to softball, which wouldn’t be such a bad thing considering that you can underhand the pitches and it is a much more accessible sport. Stay tuned for results in a few days once I have enough poll participants.

EsLive,
Yelp Boston Unfortunately, despite a lot of searching and asking, I could not get my hands on a script which could have made managing this project easy; and I don’t know how to develop one and I shall therefore use another mean to get things done. I am therefore adding a Yelp Boston Baseball page on this site which is to help me keep track of who is interested in playing and having some fun. I will also later add more content as we get pictures and things start to kick-in. Right now I’m still in the organizational phase but I’m hoping that we can start playing in about a month. More to come, stay tunned.

Yelp Boston Here’s a small update on one of the current projects that I am working on. I have recently discovered this great, free website known as Yelp.com which enables users to view and write reviews of various businesses. Turns out there’s a whole community revolving around it and I had an idea that came to me: Why not meet up with some of these members and play some baseball a few times per month, for fun. It would enable us to get together, learn about one another and have some fun outside.
There has been a lot of demand for such a thing and I’m currently in search of a script enabling me to organize everything. Some kind of script which has enables me to add members, including their contact information, create events and managing the roster RSVPs and also the event details such as location and time. It should also have a messaging board of some type. I’ve spent over an hour today trying to find such a script without success and have tried to get help from various websites and forums online. More to come as to what’s going on soon.
